When meeting new participants and their guardians/caregivers we will be enquiring about any legal rights and responsibilities as governed by the current disability discrimination act 2006 and delivering in a form of communication that the participant and guardian/caregiver will clearly and easily understand. We will implement an understanding to the participants basic human rights and needs to provide a full participant focused approach by focusing on the 5 basic human rights, the right to equality, the right to freedom from discrimination, the right to life, liberty and personal discrimination, the right to freedom from slavery, and the right from torture and degrading treatment. Participants will be encouraged and  included in all decision making.

Learning about the participant and guardian/caregiver and learning of any needs or requirements towards communications i.e. learning difficulties, language barriers, by creating and implementing documentations and tools to make the understanding of the documentation as easy as possible to understand and to avoid confusion or frustration. Some steps we as a company can take towards providing an easy and simple understanding, would be to provide an interpreter, provide sign language support personnel, provide an advocate (ADA, Aged and disability advocates).

Proving these services, the participant, guardian/caregiver and company will have a clear and easier understanding of the requirements of both participant guardian/caregiver and service provider. Understanding the participant and guardian/caregivers cultural and religious dynamics and backgrounds we will be able to look into any possible groups, activities and or organisations that may spark some interests and offer information about and assistance in getting to and from these places. We will then be able to implement into the participants set goals to improve their quality of life.

We will encourage close contact with friend and family to avoid social isolation. We will be able to assist with setting up technology and teaching if needed how to use social medias to make contact i.e. skype, zoom. We will be able to support by taking participants to catch ups with family and friends at shops, café or any other meeting areas. We can also assist with preparing for social catch ups by helping participants setting up, baking, cooking, cleaning. We will also be able to support participants with any ceremony events i.e. wedding, funerals.
